Meet the
Amanda Shaw
My story actually starts at Texas State University San Marcos where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology. While science taught me both discipline and curiosity, my true passion was discovered in an unexpected place—but no skipping ahead!
After school, I began working as a Research Associate in Galveston (where I also met the love of my life, Trey), and quickly realized my heart was leading me elsewhere. I found my combined love for animals and excellent organizational skills would help me build experience managing pet resorts and doggy daycares.

The dog that started it all
It all started with a party for our Goldendoodle, Teddy! 🎉
That celebration lit a fire in me that I simply couldn’t ignore and in 2018, I took the leap, left the lab coat behind, and dove headfirst into the world of pets and parties. For me, it’s never “just a party”—it’s an experience filled with joy, connection, and unforgettable memories.
My husband, Trey, and I currently live deep in the heart of Texas with our eight furry kiddos—Teddy, Lola, Cooper, Sooie, Sanford, Buckley, and Linden! Yep… it’s a full house, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Life in Dallas keeps us busy, but our home is full of love, laughter, and wagging tails.
When I’m not busy celebrating your fur-babies, you can usually find me sipping on an iced coffee, binge-watching reality TV, or spicing up snacks with a little (okay, a lot of) salsa and Tajín—because let’s be real, it belongs on everything!
I’m so honored to be part of your pet’s happiest moments and can’t wait to help you celebrate in style.

Every great event planner needs a right-hand gal, and I just happen to have the very best! As our Assistant Event Planner, Liz brings the energy, creativity, and extra set of hands (and treats!) that make every event run smoothly.
With a background in wedding planning and photography, Liz comes to The Barkday Planner with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of what it takes to bring a vision to life! She’s incredibly organized, wildly thoughtful, and somehow always thinking three steps ahead... Her love for creative design and intentional planning shines through in every event she touches!
Liz is also a proud dog mom to Kingslee Rae, who’s the absolute center of her and her spouse’s world! When she’s not planning your events, you’ll likely find her enjoying a sweet treat at Andy’s, curled up with a good book, baking the best cake pops, or spending time with her family.
Whether she’s helping develop the perfect design plan, keeping our clients informed, or making sure every detail is truly picture-pawfect, Liz is deeply committed to creating meaningful, stress-free experiences for our clients. Community Event Planner

SAY HELLO TO Lydia
Lydia is the magic behind many of our membership and community-based events here in DFW! From coordinating with local venues and event spaces to ensuring every setup is ready to go, Lydia helps bring our social gatherings to life — and she’s often right there working the events, too.
Chances are, you’ve already seen her at one of our events, and you’ll definitely be seeing her at many more. She’s a proud dog mom to two fur-babies, Maverick and Moose, and a die-hard TCU fan! When she’s not helping plan events for our community, you can usually find her spending time with family, tailgating at a TCU game, or helping plan celebrations for friends and family.
Dallas-Fort Worth dog parents, keep an eye out, Lydia will be out and about in your community! And if you do see her, be sure to stop and say HI to her!
